Rachel Riggin comes from a long line of do-it-yourself, crafty women. The hand-stitched quilts in her house and homemade Halloween costumes impressed her at an early age. Uninspired by the fashions of 1980’s suburbia, Rachel discovered a new world full of possibilities in thrift stores. Appreciating the distinctive styles and hand detailing in clothing from the past, she began creating her own designs. She enjoys using high-quality, natural materials and seeks remnant and recycled fabrics when feasible. Her keen eye for detail is found in her inventive use of appliqué, embroidery and Swarovski crystal.
